Field Technician

Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada

Description:

• Supervise field work (other technicians and/or subcontractors)
• Perform drilling, sampling, land surveying, soil, and water sampling
• Supervise and monitor excavation work
• Perform soil treatment related work
• In permanent contact with on-site subcontractors
• Interact occasionally with clients
• Perform the work in accordance with the rules and requirements of the Quality System Program

Requirements:

Academic Education:

• College diploma in a related technical field of studies such as civil engineering, rural engineering, geology, environmental sciences, biological sciences, etc. or equivalent experience

Experience:

• 0 to 4 years (Junior and Intermediate Level)
  

Additional Requirements:

• Any of the following safety training courses are an asset: Confined Space Awareness, Fire Extinguisher Use, Standard First Aid (including CPR), Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Respiratory Protective Equipment Awareness, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level II Training, Petroleum Safety Training (Alberta)
• Frequent travel required
