A skilled and experienced financial strategist, Dean Petrovic oversees the origination and execution of all mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives at Englobe. He ensures risk management considerations are factored into every strategic decision and manages all aspects of corporate development and M&A initiatives including market analysis, opportunity sourcing, due diligence, and integrations. He also supports Englobe’s business intelligence work and provides counsel to senior leaders across Englobe.

Dean Petrovic’s initial mandate at Englobe included the development and execution of a strategy to create a national platform for the company’s engineering and inspection services. Since joining Englobe in 2016, Dean has led over 16 successful acquisitions of complementary engineering and environmental services firms in new disciplines and communities throughout Canada. He also supervised the design and implementation of numerous operational efficiency and performance measurement tools. 

Prior to joining Englobe, Dean Petrovic worked as an investment banking analyst at TD Securities in Toronto and Evercore Partners in New York. Later, he served as a private equity associate at Onex Corporation. Through these experiences, he gained extensive expertise in financial valuation, recapitalization, restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Dean Petrovic holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Distinction from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
