Karine Desforges

Karine Desforges, SVP Legal, ESG & Integrations at Englobe, leads legal strategy, governance and compliance. With nearly 25 years of experience, she oversees risk, M&A and ESG priorities while advising executives. She drives integration and supports growth through strong governance frameworks and high-performing legal teams across the organization.

Karine Desforges leads Englobe’s legal strategy, compliance framework, governance, ESG, and integration activities. She plays a key role in supporting the organization’s growth while ensuring robust risk management and alignment with evolving ESG priorities.

With nearly 25 years of experience, Karine Desforges acts as a strategic partner to the executive team and works closely with operations across all business units. She oversees legal matters across Canada, including contracts, proposals, litigation, and M&A transactions, and provides leadership on compliance, risk management, and governance across the organization. 

Recognized for her pragmatic and business-oriented approach, Karine Desforges has built and led high-performing legal teams in both Canada and the United Kingdom. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles advising on complex commercial, corporate, and regulatory matters. 

Prior to joining Englobe, Karine Desforges was Associate General Counsel at a global engineering firm, where she led a national legal team supporting commercial operations, contract, and risk management. Earlier in her career, Karine held legal positions in both public and private organizations in Canada and the United Kingdom, including with law firm Norton Rose Fulbright. 

Karine Desforges holds an LL.B. in Civil Law from the Université de Montréal and was called to the Québec Bar in 2002. She also holds an LL.M. in International and Commercial Law from the University of Buckingham in England and was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 2006. 

She is actively engaged in her community, including as a Patron for the Montréal Women’s Centre Foundation, and has previously served as a Director of the Père Sablon Foundation and as a Governor of Bridgewater Elementary School.
