Pinnacle Award Representing Engineering Excellence Lancaster WWTF Aeration System Renewal project
Project: Lancaster WWTF Aeration System Renewal
Client: City of Saint John
Location: Saint John, New Brunswick
Contractor: TerraEx Inc.
The Lancaster WWTF has served the City of Saint John since the 1960s and is a critical component of the municipality’s wastewater infrastructure. After decades of operation, the facility’s aeration system required significant renewal to address aging infrastructure, reduced efficiency, and growing operational risk.
Englobe supported the City through engineering design, permitting, tendering, and construction services. The project included the installation of a modern floating fine‑bubble aeration system, dredging and removal of lagoon sludge, upgrades to corrosion‑resistant air distribution infrastructure, and a carefully managed bypass strategy to ensure ongoing environmental protection. The work was completed safely, on schedule, and in full regulatory compliance, with no environmental incidents.
This recognition reflects the dedication, collaboration, and expertise of our multidisciplinary teams, and our continued commitment to delivering high‑quality, community‑focused solutions for our clients.
Congratulations to everyone who helped to bring this project to life.
