Mike Cormier, P.Eng., is President of Englobe, leading growth, acquisitions and operational excellence. With over 30 years of experience, he advances infrastructure projects and a strong safety culture while guiding nearly 4,000 professionals delivering engineering and environmental services across Canada.

As President of Englobe, one of Canada’s leading engineering and environmental services firms, Mike Cormier, P.Eng., leverages his lengthy corporate transformation expertise to manage numerous improvement projects to drive strong, sustainable growth in addition to overseeing the company’s expansion through thoughtful acquisitions and partnerships.

Under Mike Cormier’s astute leadership, the Englobe team has grown to include nearly 4,000 team members, including engineers, professionals, technicians, and technical support staff, who offer a broad suite of services from engineering, design and inspection to environmental consulting and remediation. A recognized health and safety champion, Mike has been instrumental in advancing a strong, proactive safety culture across Englobe making it a key organizational priority and the foundation of all business activities. 

Mike Cormier holds over 30 years of experience in the engineering industry. Throughout his career, he has consulted on some of New Brunswick’s most high-profile, complex and challenging multidisciplinary design projects, from planning through design and construction. Mike first joined Englobe following the company’s 2018 acquisition of Crandall Engineering, where he had served as President since 2011. Subsequently, he was named Englobe Vice-President of Operations for Atlantic Canada. He was appointed Englobe Co-President in February 2019, and President in 2024. 

His professional journey at Crandall Engineering began in 1992, where he quickly rose through the ranks, working and later directing numerous municipal, transportation, wastewater treatment, and water filtration projects across New Brunswick over the next 24 years. In 2013, he was a Finalist for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Professional Services category. 

Mike Cormier holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Civil Engineering from the University of Moncton in New Brunswick. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB) and the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and is a Past President of the New Brunswick chapter of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC-NB).
